Feasibility Study and Cost Estimates

Bosnia and Herzegovina being a country rich on fresh water streams, has plenty of locations appropriate for erection of hydro power plants. Prior to realization of any project, a detailed feasibility study and project documentation need to be worked out in order to get optimal revenue from the natural resource. SIMECO.Systems conducted a feasibility study and offered a complete solution for a system of mini hydro power plants integrated in the drinking water supply system of municipality Zavidovici in northern Bosnia.

Scope Of Work: The scope of our work in this project included the following:

  • Thorough study of legal issues when starting energy production business,
  • Proposition of various financing schemes for the investor – all according to capabilities of the client as well as clear guidelines for keeping the investment profitable.
  • Technical solution specifying all of the equipment needed to start and run the plant, with vendor list, Architectural solution suggesting exact changes on the existing, and erecting new objects,
  • Assessment of the impact on the environment. The project was developed in phases optimizing civil works, material deliveries etc. Finally, bilingual documentation was prepared for a public tender.
